Well here we are, pre season roll-ups completed, pre-season dinner devoured!

Onto the serious stuff, (Ha-Ha!), Time to start our first game of the season against A Load Of Cobblers, (1st October, Triples, 7.00pm start)

Full of expectation, full of hope, every season in any sport starts on a level playing field, (Unless your playing Crown Green Bowls!), Teams are all square, everything to play for. There will be highs, there will be lows, there will be laughs, there will be groans, as we all know our indoor game brings all emotions known to man with every bowl sent lovingly down the rink!

Good luck to all Raiders, good luck to all our opponents and friends across the rinks, It may be your year, it may not, who knows?

But look on the bright side, every evening spent throughout the autumn / winter season spares you the delights of Reality TV, Soap Opera, Celebrity this and Celebrity that. We can interact with real people in the real world, and when we eventually emerge from our seasonal indoor hibernation into Spring, the lighter evenings are arriving with the promise of more balmy summers to waste more of our time on outdoor greens!

We must be mad, but we enjoy it so much, (Sort of!)
